There was a time gap until the 1950 jamboree held at Valley Forge Pennsylvania. Since then the jamborees are held every four years. A couple of times the dates were changed to meet a special historical event. The last few years nearly 40,000 people a jamboree attended. World jamborees started in 1929 and have pretty much followed the every four years model of national jamborees, rotating to the off-year cycle.
