Starting in 1933, Scouts earning the Interpreting Merit Badge were also allowed to wear a small strip signifying the foreign language spoken. When the Interpreting merit badge was dropped in 1952, some requirements lived on in the World Brotherhood Merit Badge. When the World Brotherhood Merit Badge changed to Citizenship in the world in 1972 the interpreter strip was no longer linked to a merit badge and had its own requirements. Look through and find the one you qualify for. This is also a great "mini" collecting area. They are not expensive and usually easy to find. Start your collection today.
