LDS On My Honor Items

The LDS Church had been a partner with the Boy Scouts of America since 1913.  On My Honor was their highest youngmen Scouting award.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints started a religious scouting recognition program in 1948 with the introduction of the Deseret Recognition Award.  It was originally issued as a lapel pin.  Shortly thereafter a medal was created as the award.  In 1952 the name was changed to the Duty to God Award and the design of the medal changed to the current style.  In the 1970s the LDS Church seperated their religious award and created the On My Honor Award for Scouting and the Duty to God Award for religious practice. The program was abandoned in 2018.
