Pin Backs & Bent Tabs

Celluloid pinback pins and bent tabs were commonly issued in the 1960s.  They are fun to collect.

Celluloid pins with a pin back were issued by the Boy Scouts of America to promote various aspects of the Scouting program.  They expanded out to other topic areas over the years.  They are very similar to political campaign buttons.  Additionally, bent tab pins we used similarly during the 1960s.  These were not as durable as pinbacks so there were not as widely used.
